What does it mean when my rpms are red in G-Wizard Calculator?

Red RPM’s means that the rpms G-Wizard preferred to use were outside the limits of your machine’s rpms.

If the red is at the upper limit, that’s okay.  You can always run slower, G-Wizard is simply telling you that a faster spindle would work better if you had one available.

If the red is at the lower limit, that can be a problem, because it means your machine won’t go as slowly as G-Wizard recommends.  Going to fast on rpms can wear out your tools in a hurry, so you’ll want to figure out how to change the cut or tooling to work within your machine’s limits.

We have a good article on that if you click this link.
