I'm a new G-wizard trial user, and I'm concerned that the feed speeds and cut depths are beyond the rigidity of my machine


I’m a new G-wizard trial user, and I’m concerned that the feed speeds and cut depths are beyond the rigidity of my machine (an X3 converted with older CNC Fusion hardware).  I’ve experimented with faster feed speeds and deeper cuts and the mill shakes excessively.  Should I de-rate the HP to get lighter cuts?

Yes, derating the HP is exactly the right way to handle this.

G-Wizard can make the rigidity adjustments for you on the machine profile.  Those adjustments are ideal for precision and finish work.  Many find they’re fine for roughing too, but if you want more juice, you can derate a little less than the suggested rating.
