Cutting ABS and Melted the Plastic

I tried to cut a small opening in ABS box and I got these values from GWizard:

ABS params

The cut depth came out of the optimizer (Deflection Allowance set to Finish). My total cutting depth was 3mm so I did a 1.4mm ramp:

The cut did not end too well since the plastic started melting. So I wonder what I did wrong in GWizard calculator. Maybe I should go more aggressive and do a full depth cut at once?

I suspect you need to turn that whole opening into chips and not just cut it out.  I would helix down in the middle and then circle outward.  That will ensure you don’t have to take full width cuts which will produce a lot less heat.
