Im new in the CNC world. I work in a amazing factory and I love every second Im at work. However, we have almost 90 CNC’s. The amount of coolant and waylube leaks is dooming for the company. I need to know whats the trick to finding a waylube leak?Im not maintenance but a machine operator, I know alot about the software and machining process but have no clue about way lube, hyd and pneumatic lines. Im left to learn more often than not by looking over shoulders and reading Fanuc common to lathe operators manual and wikipedia. Im stuck now. Have my GED so my learning blocks come quick but i love to learn so they go quickly. Iv managed to observe and document small things iv done to the cncs, eliminating machine faults, most simple. Iv learned that our carasoules have to be maintained to percision, Iv eliminated L. & R. fix aircomps, entrance faults, exit part unloading fault, right side bottom chute full, operation time out and head cycle time over alarms just from the carasoule. Wanna learn more about coolant but im not sure how yet. Anywho, im great at most all set-up task. Have no idea where to start looking at these lines! Need any prevenative maintenance advise i can get when it comes to knowing, checking, changing any lube or Hyd lines. Like a book for dummies. Simple guide i can learn bymyself on one machine then transfer throughout. I have access to tons of resources due to work, the people though offer me no extra help. because im too happy to learn. lol. guidance, is a must. I can go no farther at this time without it.
