In the G Wizard Calculator it does not have options for coatings, Cobalt tool material, or milling direction (climb vs. conventional).  Is it just not a process that is done very often and this is why there is not as much info such as drills or end mills?

Thanks

Kirk, there’s a lot of reasons we don’t have as many options on keyseat cutters.  Perhaps the most important is there is a far smaller body of data available from the tooling manufacturers.  I can get many different manufacturers for every possible combination of endmill characteristics, but not so much the less common cutters.  Part of our process for tooling is a detailed analysis of such information–we extrapolate very little and take the tooling manufacturers as the experts (which they are).
