artificial intelligence cockroaches avinash kaushik

Have you seen all the press about how AI’s (Artificial Intelligences) and Robots are going to take everyone’s jobs?

If you’re a long-time CNC’er, this isn’t the first time you’ve seen that claim.  Yet, it was more outsourcing and offshoring by humans to other humans than robots that took away a lot of manufacturing jobs in the US.

If this is something you’ve been wondering about, I just did a very editorial piece on my views about the whole Artificial Intelligence Kills Jobs thing over on my entrepreneur’s blog, BobWarfield.com.

Among other things, the article explains why present day AI’s are no smarter than cockroaches and perhaps not even that smart.  I talk a little about my own history in AI (hey, G-Wizard uses AI algorithms, though I don’t recall ever claiming it was smarter than a cockroach, LOL!).

The piece is a bit tongue-in-cheek, so hopefully you’ll find it entertaining.  If nothing else, CNC’ers work with more real robots than anyone, so we should know a thing or two about this topic.
