Upcoming CNCCookbook Product Reviews: Good Stuff!

TTS Racking System for Tormach Enclosure

TTS Racking System for Tormachs is one of the upcoming reviews I’ll be doing!

We’re getting ready to start something new for 2017: product reviews.

I’ve got a bumper crop of reviews coming up here in the CNCCookbook blog:

  • The Rack:  TTS Racking System by Santa Cruz Electronics.  This is a must-have accessory for anyone who has a Tormach milling machine with enclosure.  I don’t think I could ever do without mine!
  • Lakeshore Carbide Endmills:  I’ve been using Carl’s very fine endmills for a while here at CNCCookbook and want to do a full write-up on them.
  • Tormach’s SmartCool Programmable Coolant Nozzle:  A neat bit of kit that can increase your machine’s throughput.

Smartcool is a programmable coolant nozzle that lets you aim the nozzle from your g-code…

  • Tool Touchsetter, Tormach Probe, and MillFast ETS/Probe Switch:  This is a neat collection of gear that should greatly automate operations on the Tormach.  I’ll be reviewing them as a package even though they came from 3 completely different sources.  The MillFast box makes it easy to leave both the probe and tooll touchsetter connected and it will automatically switch between them.

  • Santa Cruz Electronics Coolant Nozzle Upgrade:  This is a coolant upgrade from Santa Cruz Electronics that takes you from 1 to 3 nozzles in a very nice package.

  • Chief Machining’s Nifty Vise Jaw System:  This is one of those systems that allows you to repeatably install soft jaws in your machining vise.  Very handy!
  • CNC Broach Tools:  I’ve got one of their broaches in hand that can be used to do broaching on either a CNC Mill or Lathe.  This can really save on second op and subcontracting time for certain projects.

As you can see, there are quite a few interesting products lined up, and I’ll be rolling out a full article on each in the very near future so you can see what we thought of them.

If you’ve got a product for CNC’ers and want us to look at reviewing it, drop me an email (bob@cnccookbook.com) and let me know what it is.  I’ll take a look and see if it makes sense for us to review it.
