It’s a cool video. That little facemill moves right along. I’ve had great luck with APKT tooling. In this case, I wonder how the facemill would do with a little roughing work either peripheral milling or pocketing? If you’ve got a CAM program that can do rest machining (eliminate “air” cutting in successive operations) it could really bring down your cutting times.
The Tormach people are really excellent to work with. One thing I love about the company is they are constantly pushing the envelope and looking for new ways to solve problems for their customers. Those guys never stand still!
